Boracay bound: October 29 and 30

It is already November 26 at super delayed na ang post ko. Hahaha! keri lang yan! So eto na ang aya-at-sama-kaagad na lakad naming magkakapatid with Tita Cindy (thank you tita! sa uulitin).

She invited us to go to Boracay with her since one of her clients, I think, gave her hotel coupons sa Alta Vista. Sama naman kami since ang sabi niya sa amin ay fare lang ang babayaran namin and we will be going to the island by ship, 2Go daw, and would cost roughly around Php2000 only. Adventure na to!

Me and my sisters left Las Pinas at around 1:30pm to go to Jollibee, Alabang where we met with out tita who was coming from Paranaque. After nung nagkita-kita na kami, kaunting lakad lang and we were already at the bus terminal. We rode a bus bound for Batangas Pier for Php150.00, pagdating sa terminal, ayun larga na lahat ng bayarin. We waited for the vessel to dock, ayun hanap ng pamatay oras and luckily meron naman.

As I remember, dumating ung vessel around 7pm, so we already took our dinner at the port para less gastos. we just ate goto for Php20.00 lang then bought a dozen of donuts pang-ngata Php110. So dumating na ung barko, pila na kami to board the ship para makapag settle down na at maka-sight seeing after.

We were booked sa open-air communal sleeping area, according sa website ng 2Go, Super Value 'tong area na 'to. At first it was okay, kasi konti pa lang ang tao, pero nung naisip namin na ung mga nasa bus na straight to caticlan malamang-lamang lang ay dito matutulog, so nagpatransfer na kami. It cost us around Php 140.00. Lipat na kami to the air-conditioned sleeping area a.k.a. Tourist - bagay lang! Sa tourist semi-enclosed ang double-beds so slightly you have privacy, but watch ka pa rin sa baggels mo, mahirap na mawala ang favorite na shades or swimsuit.

There were also cabins and state available on the ship. The cabin is good for 4-6 pax depending on the vessel. The cabin has its own television and own bathroom, sosyal! The state I think, would be like a basic hotel room, may television din, plus bathroom of its own tapos either one family bed or two full-size beds.

Eto na ang pantalan / port of Caticlan - Gateway to the paradise that is Boracay!!!
Our late lolo Vic have a lot here near the port so kelangan muna magbayad-bayad ng mga property chuchu so we headed to the munisipyo to settle the dues. We also headed to the lot before anything else to see what could be made of the property kapag lumago-lago na ang kayamanan ko, charot

Road to the munisipyo

Ang Munisipyo ng Malay, Aklan
After all that is done, Boracay na talaga ito!! Finally we reached our destination, Boracay.

Paradise - Boracay
We headed to the hotel immediately to check-in but ended up leaving our bags at the lobby since our room was still occupied and was to be cleaned pa after check-out. Alta-Vista is located at the farthest point of the island, ang basis ko dito ay ang port ha! It was way past station 1, parang umakyat pa ata ng bundok. haha! The hotel was not in the beach front, if that's what you want to know. You would have to take the shuttle service of the hotel to be able to go to the beach. It will drop you off and fetch you at D'Mall, where every hotel drops their guests. The shuttle is very much convenient since almost every hour there is a trip to the D'Mall and vice-versa. Alta-Vista has also access to Puka Beach, one of the beaches in Boracay. As to what my tita said, only three resorts are allowed full access to the beach: 1. Alta Vista 2. Eco-Village Hotel and 3. Shangri-la Boracay. Other tourists that are not booked at any hotel could still access the beach but thru boat tours only and for only a short period of time.

Alta Vista - Infinity Pool
O ayan, balik tayo sa tour, we took the shuttle to D'Mall para naman makapaglunch na kami ng fresh seafood. Syempre naman pupunta ba naman kami dito without having our favorite scallops!!! Hahaha!! We went to Talipapa para mamalengke at magshopping ng mga putaheng pwedeng lafangin! We ended up buying vegetables for pinakbet, tiger prawns na niluto with butter and garlic, liempo na inihaw, at scallops na binake!

Pinakbet

Tiger Prawns cooked with butter and garlic - saraaaaap!!!!!

at ang Main Course - Baked Scallops with Butter and Garlic

Jen and Tin's Room

huts for the hotel guests, kanya-kanyang hotel meron huts, sa pagkakatanda ko

Singapore

I went to Singapore last September to look for a job. HAHA! Ended up going home after two weeks of staying there with my cousin. So eto mga na-avail ko sa aking first SOLO out-of-the-coutry trip. HAHAHA!!!

I could have stayed longer, extended my stay and all, but my pocket could only take so much. Kaya balikbayan ang bagsak ko.

When I left, I was too early, natakot kasi ako na maiwanan  ng plane or magbayad ng re-booking fee, mabuti na maaga kaysa sa mahuli magsisi. I just sat there waiting for time to pass by. In fairness, ang sakit sa pwet. Sana may pwede paglibangan sa airport other than watching the departure and arrival board change. My flight was 10pm, I think, and I arrived at Changi past 1am na ata. Was glad my cousin fetched me from the ariport. Wala ng mrt so we took a taxi na to Still Road corner East Coast Road. Still Mansion yung tinirahan namin first then we transferred to Geylang after the first night kasi puro boys ang nandun. Nasa upper right ng intersection ang Still Mansion. (From google earth )

The next place was at Lorong 32, Casa Ewa, nasa Geylang District ang Lorong 32. Geylang District is known as the "red light district" of Singapore, so I was told to bring my passport at all times. Mahirap na at baka mapagkamalang sister.

For the lenght of my stay, wala naman ako masyado na-sight na mga "girls" or di lang kasi ako masyado naglalalabas kapag gabi?

Ayan na. I was able to tour mga major na pasyalan ng mga pumupunta sa Singapore, at wala pang bayad! HAHAHA!!!! I just bought an mrt card for I think S$20.00 then reload lang ng pa s$$10 dollars, then I was all set. I just had this book, A Walking Tour: Singapore ata, danan! All set na!

I was able to tour Chinatown area, Riverside area and halos Business area nila. I don't remember quite well all the names at kung anik-anik ng mga lugar pero pictures could help you all see what I was able to experience in Singapore.

The Oh-So Famous: MBS (Marina Bay Sands)

Inside the Marina Bay Sands: Suspended Walkway for the puritas
The famous : Merlion with the Singapore CBD at the Back

The UOB Twin Towers
The Majestic: Theater
The Fullerton Hotel
The ION at Orchard Road
At Clarke Quay
Singapore is a truly lovely place to discover and experience, pero kelangan discover muna natin ang buong Pilipinas bago ang iba. Chararat!

First official entry

Hello!!!! welcome to my blog. hahaha!!! eto na talaga to. I am so happy kasi after all the talk sa sarili ko na gagawa ako ng blog since forever (pagkagraduate ko ng college, bago ako magka-work, after ever place na mapuntahan ko) chararat!!! eto na talaga ang start.

Aliw.

I just left a company where I met so many friends sa paglalakwatsa ko. They have been friends since college ata. Tapos nandyan din si Sir Ron and si John Paul a.k.a. "Pre". Tapos padami pa ng padami. Makikita na lang sa pictures to be posted if ever I remember to post. ha!

I found this Lakbayan map from Batang Lakwatsero, and did what he previously did. tama ba yon? haha! All the places I have been as far as I have remembered. Charan!!!!

My Lakbayan grade is C-!
